Attaches to window to help with tape

I really liked this product, it cut my prep time by at least 45 minutes. I painted my house outside and sealed the window with this masking film, it stuck to my windows right off the roll which helped keep the film in there for packing. easy to remove and just roll up the dirty foil and pack in a bag.

  • New
Cons
  • So far so good

Painting made easy

This product is great for painting. We did our kitchen cabinets and didn't clean anything inside. The preparation took longer than the painting, but it was worth it. This masking tape is very sticky. When you stick it on the tape, make sure it sticks perfectly, otherwise it will be very difficult to remove. It is an essential product for home projects.

Pros
  • Easy setup
Cons
  • Minor problems

Easy to use, sticks to window and fits 4ft windows

There is nothing better. If you're working with 48" tall windows, you don't need 72" tall plastic. This plastic unfolds, the static makes it cling to the window when you pull it down instead of blowing like "paint plastic" does. If your time is at a premium, using it with a 3m hand masker and the required "foil cutter" knife is more than worth the small additional investment.

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Very expensive

works great for paint, wall treatments and accessories

I think the 3M Handheld Concealer is one of the greatest inventions for concealing color projects ever created! This plastic is great for covering doors and windows. This isn't enough to cover the full height of the door, but usually a purlin or 2 by 9 inch paper can close the bottom gap - no problem. Be sure to use a notched cutter for your hand mask - spend $15 on a proper cutter or you won't be able to use that plastic! It works well when done right. Just swipe the top of the window, then…

  • Convenient Item
Cons

Double the work in half the time

That's great! Buy a belt gun with it. The gun presses tape (blue or painter's) against this folded sheet of plastic and you apply it (gently) as you would with a transfer gun. Fast fast fast. The slide is 12 inches wide but unfolds up to 72 inches so you can unfold it to the size you want. I didn't buy a die knife to cut the foil, I kept the scissors in my pocket - it worked perfectly. I don't see this film easily cut with a blade, it has to be cut away or it will unroll and be a mess…

Pros
  • hands free
Cons
  • unreliable
