Pink candle arrived with cracks. Three purple candles were fine, but it doesn't make much sense without a pink one. I took a chance ordering this despite reading all the negative reviews but there isn't much choice to buy. Disappointed but will order again from another seller. I read the reviews before ordering and gave it a shot. I wanted my advent candles to "burn" all season long and I couldn't do that with real candles. They didn't break when I turned them on or put the batteries in like many other reviews did. They don't feel fragile. From a distance they look like wax candles, but the fact that they are all the same height with the same drip effects makes them look like toy candles. I really wanted these candles to fit my new advent holder, much to my disappointment I can't use candles at all. The good thing is that they fit. I bought a set of these suppositories for my sister (she is on the Alzheimer's ward in a nursing home) and after seeing how well they work I have a set for myself and my daughter Bought. I can see why a remote control would be useful as every time you take out a candle to light it you have to re-center it if the candle holder is not tight in your wreath. I wish so much these candles would match my new advent candle holder, to my great disappointment I cannot use any candles at all they fitted into the holder, they put it in pink wax when inserting the battery, it started to crack and fell off. Arrived in good condition. I was very careful with them after reading that some people find them fragile. The wax layer isn't very thick, and I think if it were cold it would be brittle. I would recommend letting the bag come to room temperature before handling. I bought them to wear the advent wreath at the care center. I really needed something with no flame and heat so LED is perfect. They get used to it every day, and some residents come out of curiosity to turn them on and off themselves…
