How you do that?

We often sat with my daughter and didn't understand how to sew cross stitches on this plastic canvas. I was even on You Tube. Specific instructions would be VERY helpful.

Pros
  • Elegant design
Cons
  • Renovation

I used to do cross stitch but it was difficult

It wasn't what I expected at all, the yarn or whatever was falling apart and the direction was so bad. I should have just gone to Michaels to do cross stitch. I don't recommend it

Pros
  • Nice to use
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

Misleading photo and poor quality

The stitching does not match the picture on the box. The filament isn't nearly as thick as it looks, so you're still seeing more plastic mesh than filament. The threads are of poor quality, they often break.

Pros
  • One year trial
Cons
  • Out of style

Not exactly what I was looking for

Bought this for my 8 year old granddaughter thinking it was printed on fabric. This is not the case, so it was very difficult for her to read the diagram and the engraving. I put it aside for her to try later.

Not recommended for beginners

I would say cross stitch is easy to do but the instructions are not very easy to read. Also, I wouldn't recommend it for beginners. I bought this for my daughter and she was constantly confused so I ended up making it myself. If a beginner understood this, they would be surprised to get real cross stitch because the instructions are so different. The rest of the dissing is beautiful.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Some difficulty

Doesn't teach you what you think it should

This kit does not teach cross stitch skills that adults could use on fabric. On fabric you always work in the square; Your X is in a square. On this plastic canvas - look closely - an X is placed over two plastic sticks. The child does not see the square. (Actually you can see a square of four small square holes, but once the second row has started it takes a fairly advanced child to see this. From the 2nd row it just looks like a row of small square holes. Above that Beyond that I gave up and…

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled
