Excellent quality bag but not suitable for baofeng.

Excellent quality case but not suitable for Baofeng UV5R radios. He is too big. Others say it fits because the straps can hold it up. This is true if you are doing nothing but walking on level ground. Inside is a radio. It's not a good fit for running, climbing, or performing rigorous maneuvers. However, it is heavy and suitable for a larger radio.

Pros
  • Heavy Duty
Cons
  • Only available in white

Great radio case with room for a small improvement.

This radio housing serves its purpose. The only thing I complain about is the velcro and strap that help keep the walkie inside. I found it takes a lot of effort to get the walkie-talkie and put it in my pocket. Not enough of a problem that I'll be replacing, but if this case is ready to be replaced I might consider buying another one. It will be a while though as this radio case is well made and seems to last a long time. All in all I can recommend this radio housing.

Well made, doesn't fit my radio

I rate it good for the finish and reliability. It was too small for the radio I was given, but that's not the bag's fault. It is very well made and I trust the durability and functionality. It held the radio perfectly but was obviously too small for him and causing problems in the future. For reference, I have a Motorola HT750 with a belt clip and shoulder mic. It would certainly be fine without the belt clip. Again, no fault of the case itself. I like the tip holder feature.

Company 11 made the perfect radio case with this design

5.11 made the perfect radio case with this design. It fits snugly in radios of different heights, from small amateur radios like the Baofeng Uv-5R to the standard MBITR military handheld radio. Elastic traction fits snug and feels solid, unlikely to tear. The pouch material is military equivalent to standard MOLLE gear. MOLLE attachment tabs and buttons are rigid and durable and will not allow play or play when attached to kit or worn. I have my extended UV-5R battery and the top dial is…

More than I thought

Molle straps on it are strong and it attaches very securely to my 5.11 body armor. It's a little deeper than I expected and my Yaesu FT-70D gets lost in it, so I cut out a piece of closed cell foam to take up extra space and positioned the radio so the buttons were flush with the top. It's great for baofeng with extended battery. There's plenty of room on the side for a 90° speaker/mic jack, and the fabric on the sides is flexible enough to work with the Yaesu's power and volume buttons. I took

Excellent radio case

I have two of these cases and love them. I have two other radio holsters, Maxpedition, another brand similar to this 5.1, and a Condor (which only fits small family radios. What I like about the 5.11 holder is that it's easy to get in and out of the holster is (if you have loose straps).Other radios Strap is worn on top of radio and ALWAYS connects to control sticks VX-7 and VX-8, do not rub hard on inside of holster - this will not wear rubber keypad on front of radios.Holster 5.11 also has a…
