I have this belt in both black and now in brown. Whatever the quality control issues of 5.11 a few years ago, I haven't had any issues so far. The belts do a great job of protecting firearms and secondary magazines, and they look good doing it. No problem.

I really needed a black, good looking, heavy duty/sturdy belt for work that is also small enough for my 100 lb body and this belt not only fits the bill but exceeds expectations at far. It looks a bit wider than a normal men's belt, but it's sturdy! All day I lift, fold and shift heavy bags and hoist them over my head. All day I lift bags to hang on my belt, catch them and then lift them up high to fold them. Then in reverse order. Then get up again. I'm sure it's terrible for my lower back…

This is truly the best line of belts I have ever owned. I have 2 more, one is 5 years old and the other is 7 years old - so far they are in very good condition. They have scuffs and other signs of wear on buckles etc. which render them unusable from an aesthetic point of view. Leather doesn't polish very well, and even scuff marks from painted walls won't come off the assembly line. The strap is incredibly strong for wearing an OWB or IWB and very comfortable.

Best belt I've ever had! These things are ridiculously rigidly built. This is the first belt I've owned that doesn't take on an odd shape depending on my body and how the belt's loops come into contact with it. My only complaint is the metal finish - the belt itself will survive. After a few years it wears down to the color of brass. The strap material is very durable and looks great, perfect for any occasion even if you don't wear a holster.
