differs from those purchased from Home Depot of the same name. They had what looked like little spikes or daggers that could be stuck into a wall. Don't come out as easy as old oak styles. Had to use pliers and left a huge hole in my wall. First know your location before inserting them as this is a try and you're done :(

I love these hooks. They are easy to lay on any drywall surface. They are perfect for pictures but I have used them to hang many other things. It's really amazing how much weight they can carry. In most cases, they are easy to insert with your fingers. I've used them on some harder surfaces where lightly tapping with a hammer also works. Removal is also very easy - just pull them out.

It's a bit trickier than the gorilla hooks, which I also love, but they're strong and hold things securely, even in my 1920's apartment and it has all kinds of walls and good luck finding rivets on most of them. Gorilla hooks are great until you hit the lathe on the plaster and work the wall. You can use the OOK anywhere and it will hold as much weight as advertised.

OOk are my favorite picture hangers. I crop and show different things; Vinyl records, autographs, etc. I must have 25-30 framed wall hangings in my office alone. Sometimes the hanger is exposed above the frame and looks pretty decent. They are durable and well made, but can be a bit pricey. Bought 2 sets for a good price. The only issue I've had with OOK in general is that the nails/nails provided do not fit all hanger sizes, sometimes they are too thick for the smaller hangers. The hole in the
