Good little product. Worked great and minimal light loss for its length. Pigtails included for easy connections.

Works great in low light conditions. Slightly lighter near the porthole, otherwise a constant color.

Lack of available power source makes it almost impossible to use. I bought two of these and both broke immediately when I tried to use an external power supply.

This is a beautiful fiber optic strand with side glow. As you can see, white emits a cool bluish-white light. The end, of course, gives off a whiter LED light. Each side-glowing optic also functions as a light guide. I will trim mine and fill with clear resin. I look forward to it!

This 3mm side glow cable was just the right size. It's brighter and cheaper than the parking light cable I bought before. The 1.5 W lighting provides excellent illumination. I upgraded to a 3w light and it looked fantastic. It's all about the light source. All the bad reviews are because they don't use the right light source. 4 stars because the seller should have included some instructions. But nothing. Even if the seller knows how to attach this cable to the wall, ceiling, etc.; they had to indicate how. I know my way around 12v wiring, so I just connected the red wire to the positive side of the 12v battery and the black wire to the negative side. Wow, nice bright blue. Some time and effort; You can really do a lot with this PMMA fiber optic. I use mine specifically with RC cars; This was the largest diameter I could find for making miniature light whips. The supplied LED is very bright; but I noticed (when disassembling) that it includes a small lens which you assumed would make the LED more focused. I have tested the light transmission through the cable with and without the lens and I personally find that the light is brighter without the small lens…
