Unfortunately when I attempted to dim the bulb, it simply turned off when I tried dimming the light and came back on when I increased the the light. It simply does not dim, on and off only.

These are awesome and they worked out perfectly for me because I had a ceiling fan that did not have a light kit at the bottom these went in the top which is surrounded by a tan glass globe and it muted them just enough. I put six of these in the fan and it lights up the room perfectly.

First, it is maybe, barely, possibly a 60W equivalent, but it's morel like a 45W bulb. Second, it has a noticeable blu'ish tint that daylight bulbs should not have. And last, but not least, the card in the package says it is not dimmable, and if it flickers to put 2 - 3 halogen bulbs in the fixture along with these LED bulbs.
