Description of 6PK Muscovite Mica Mineral Specimen

MUSCOVITE MICA | Muscovite mica is a mineral that forms from cooling magma. It forms in thin sheets that are individually weak, but comprehensively strong. Mica is a major component in a plethora of different rocks, including igneous, sedimentary, and metamorphic rocks. GREAT FOR GEOLOGY CLASSROOMS | Mica's thin and layered structure is perfect for demonstrating variable hardness and cleavage, physical properties of minerals, as well as Bowen's reaction series. This set of six samples is excellent for group study and examination. GEOLOGIST SELECTED | Each specimen is selected and hand processed by an actual geologist, ensuring each sample exhibits defining features. LOCALLY PROCESSED | Our rock and mineral samples are sourced from a variety of locations around the world and are processed in Victor, NY. INDIVIDUALLY PACKAGED & LABELED | Each specimen sample is packaged in a transparent bag, and is labeled & barcoded for easy identification.

Waste of Money: my feedback

When I tried this product, i was incredibly disappointed .The specimens were extremely small and lacked any detail. It was difficult to distinguish them as Muscovite Mica without a magnifying glass. On the bright side the packaging was secure and arrived quickly. However, I would not recommend this to anyone looking for high-quality specimens for industrial and scientific use. Save your money and look elsewhere..

Pros
  • Beautiful and unique specimens that showcase the natural beauty of Muscovite Mica
Cons
  • Difficult to find a practical use for them other than for display or educational purposes

Low-quality mineral sample; disappointing

As an industrial and scientific enthusiast, I was expecting a high-quality mineral sample, but what I received was extremely underwhelming. When I tried this product, the mica pieces were small and cracked making it difficult to identify any distinct characteristics. The only pro was the affordable price, but the cons outweighed it.Overall, I would not recommend this product to anyone interested in science education or mineral specimens..

Pros
  • Beautiful and unique natural mineral specimen that can be used for display or educational purposes.
Cons
  • The small size of each specimen may limit the amount of detail that can be observed and appreciated.

Don't waste your money with this

What is shown in the image appears to be a piece of mica about 1 inch thick with numerous layers of thickness, so the detail is not fully transparent. It is described as 1X1X1 inches. What I got turned out to be a few layers of the original and was a perfectly transparent piece of mica, wafer thin, maybe a micron thick for 6.99. It will fall apart in no time because there is nothing inside. save your money

Pros
  • MOSCOVITE MICA | Muscovite mica is a mineral formed by the cooling of magma. It forms thin layers that are weak individually but strong as a whole. Mica is the primary component of many different rocks, including igneous, sedimentary, and metamorphic rocks
Cons
  • Slightly Fractured
