Description of Lens 7artisans 7.5mm f/2.8 Micro 4/3 mark II, black
The second generation of a fully manual fisheye lens with an ultra-wide angle of view, designed for mirrorless cameras. This "fisheye" is linear, that is, the image covers the entire area of the matrix.
The optical design consists of 11 elements combined in 9 groups, two HOYA extra-low dispersion elements help improve color and contrast in the 180° field of view. Of course, the lens exhibits strong barrel distortion, which can be partially corrected in post-processing if you wish. The lenses are coated with a multi-layer anti-reflective coating, but when shooting with backlight, flare and ghosting may occur. Under normal lighting, the lens shows a very contrasty image with rich colors.
The lens body is made of aluminum, the bayonet mount is brass, the hood is not removable and is integrated into the lens. The focusing ring has a long stroke, the minimum focusing distance is only 12 cm (counting from the matrix). The aperture ring rotates smoothly, without clear steps (de-clicked), which can be useful when recording video. The lens has no electronic connection with the camera, focusing and exposure settings are carried out only manually.
