Useful until you break

I was looking for a small square to sew neatly and bought this square. It was working great until I dropped the ruler and broke it into pieces. In hindsight I probably should have drilled a hole in the square so I could hang it up when not in use, but I can't believe it broke just from falling off the table. After that I bought a metal square. This ruler will get the job done but can break easily.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Quick start guide

Good ruler for drawing squares.

I wanted this ruler because I create patterns and I tend to draw a lot of squares and rectangles. Here are some pros and cons: Pros: * The product is marked in inches and centimeters as shown in the picture. * Does what it's supposed to, helps draw squares and rectangles quickly. Cons: * Plastic is very flimsy, looks like it could break easily if you're not careful. Just lay it on a flat surface or keep it in a safe place so it won't accidentally bend. I wish it was made out of a harder plastic

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

It's still useful as a general ruler

This 'square' is NOT a square. I have other Westcott rulers and other brands of squares, albeit opaque ones, and I assumed this ruler would be of the same quality as my other clear Westcott rulers. Accuracy is important to me in my work. Unfortunately, I immediately saw that this is not "true" from an industry perspective. It's still useful as a general ruler, but don't count on it as a square, and I've unfortunately reverted to a more time-consuming way of working.

Cons
  • Not bad, but...
