No ammonia, but be careful!

I first bought two shades of Herbatint's ammonia free hair color (honey blonde and platinum blonde) to counteract the brittle effects of traditional ammonia hair dye. Excited to find an ammonia-free product, I didn't realize that there were four other potential toxins in this product: 1) Upon reading the label, I immediately noticed a high concentration of Propylene Glycol (the second ingredient from the top). Propylene Glycol is a cheap alternative to glycerin and is commonly used in personal…

Color has faded but still pretty good

About 50 percent of my hair is gray so I chose a color that has an "N" in the code because the company uses it to Covering gray hair recommends. I like that the scent of the product is minimal. However, the conditioner that comes with the kit smells so intensely that I couldn't use it. Instead, I used another company's fragrance-free conditioner. The result after using Herbatint and my own conditioner was very shiny hair and a great colour. But I don't know if the shine came from conditioner or

I learned how to do May's own hair!

I have been mixing 8N with 9N and coloring my roots and my own hair for over 10 years. This product works great and does not burn the scalp. The color lasts as long as you use a sulfate-free shampoo. The seller was very fast!

Herbatint Permanent Hair Color Gel, 9N Honey Blonde, 4.56 oz

My hairstylist suggested I order this as I was unable to go to the salon at the time. (Covid-19 crisis). Well-painted gray hair, particularly stubborn gray hair, mainly on the temples. i like the color As a last resort I would order again.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Is there anything I can add

I've had this hair color for a while now. I have avoided products with ammonia for a long time. This was the best more natural product I've found for gray coverage and natural color. Easy to use but you will need your own mixing bottle as it is not included. Doesn't irritate my scalp and maintains a normal hair color cycle which many non-ammonia dyes don't have. Some natural stores sell this, but sometimes it's harder to find. It was a great price and savings.

  • Cool

  • Useless features

Love this 9N blonde to cover my roots

I use this to cover my roots between salon visits. Keeps costs down and works great. You can use it twice in one visit to the salon.

Honey Blonde 9N - Dark Brunette

My hair color is natural dark brown (2N on Herbatint) and I wanted to lighten my hair at least 2-3 tones. It has never been canceled, so starting from scratch is legal. I tried Honey Blonde (9N) which was incredibly intimidating given the picture on the box. I treated my hair for about 40-45 minutes and then applied the Royal Cream. I can only say that I am very enthusiastic about the colour. It turned out to be a reddish golden brown (a little dark red but a little muted). The color is clearly
