💧 A&R High-Performing Sports Water Bottle Review

I wanted a hockey water bottle with a long straw that I could put stickers on so my son could tell the difference other bottles and it goes well with it (in terms of size and that it's a regular bottle). The bottle isn't very hard plastic, though, and feels fragile and cheap (like the bottled water you buy in the store that crunches and shrinks). In short, I wouldn't buy this particular product again - it's better to pay more and get something better.

This BOTTLE smells TERRIBLELY CHEAP PLASTIC out of the box and after several washes with soap and water. The smell is like the thick plastic Christmas tree my family took out of the box every year in the 80's. I will update when the smell goes away. After almost a year without ice my league is finally back but masks need to be durable. I'm playing with a metal cage and the normal syringe I use doesn't work because of the mask. Of the various straw bottles I've tried, this is by far the best I've found. I hesitated to buy this bottle because people complained about the plastic smell. Theirs had a faint plastic smell on arrival. We ran it through the dishwasher and the smell was very faint. However, when I smell the other "flexible" plastic bottles we have, they all smell the same. You have to opt for a hard plastic like PETE to avoid the smell, but then you lose the flexible properties needed to push water through the straw. I love this water bottle! I don't even use it just for hockey, I use it all the time now. I love laughing at people who try to unscrew the caps on their Nalgene and then spill water on themselves while trying to swallow the stream of water that comes out of a hookah-sized hole. This is by far the best sports bottle we've bought. As a lacrosse coach, I recommend this type of bottle to all my players. The ability to drink while wearing a helmet means players can get on and off the field quicker or finish their water break quicker than boys who have to remove their helmets to drink from a standard water bottle.
