Good price for vent cover

vent cover arrived quickly in good condition. The price was great. It was a little difficult to install the item on the outside door of the RV water heater (not seller's fault). I had to use zip ties to secure the cover to the door as the springs that came with it didn't work.

Works fine as intended.

There is a little trick to setting up this screen, but overall it's well worth the modest investment of time. Most importantly, it won't let insects in, rust or rust. If you have an RV, buy one of these screens for each open vent, but be sure to measure.

Springs too long

This should have fitted nicely to cover my radiator. but the springs are too long. I need feathers that are half the size they were sent. I am currently looking for a replacement spring and still use it on my trailer but may return if I can't find anything to work with. It would be nice to use springs to connect different vents.

The springs wouldn't work for my setup.

Installation was difficult with the springs provided, the installation tool was too big for the screen holes. In the end my springs broke. Went to the local camper shop and they had a kit that included a rubber grommet for the screen, new springs and an installation tool. It worked like a charm, installed in minutes. All things maybe need better design.

Fits Dometic DF series ovens

If your oven looks like the picture then you need a screen. If you only close the round hole, the insects will have enough space, this will close it completely. You can throw away the springs and tool, just take the safety wire, make a loop in the appropriate place, pierce the screen and twist to tighten. Be careful to hide the sharp ends of the wire or they'll get you later.

Looks good, very difficult to install, the video shown is for a perfectly matched product, not what you have on the actual trailer.

cool idea and it looks easy in the video but the springs are too long so I had to change them and during the installation process I had to bend the springs to fit the hole. which is not intended for use. but now that it's installed it should work fine. It took over an hour and a lot of tools, time and patience. I would buy again as I can't easily craft this creature but it's not an easy setup as they show.

Works great as advertised

Installation takes a bit of effort and it's a bit of a hassle to hook the springs securely into the hole you're covering. Tip: Attach one end of the spring to the mesh cover and hook it with the tool, but string the other end from the top back with the tool, tighten the spring and then hook it. This is easier than running the tool through the mesh and trying to push the spring into part of the hole to catch it. You will see when you get it. Make sure you order the right size by measuring…
