I make paracord leashes for horses and dogs and order new carabiners every time. They're the strongest I've found in the 3" size and they retain their shiny finish after exposure to the elements. I wouldn't recommend them for heavier applications like hanging food or water buckets, but if you do If you look at the 3" size, you probably already know you need something bigger. Highly recommended!

They are definitely not designed to do what they were designed to do. I don't recommend extremely heavy weights with them but for the price they are great! You can't go wrong with Buck. I use them for handbags, beach bags, they are all made of durable canvas and weight tested. They are perfect for casual wear! If you are looking for a heavy weight, you "WILL" pay a lot more for these carabiners, I will buy a lot more for my purposes.

Ideal for easily attaching and removing horse blankets. You no longer have to undo the straps in the front as they attach to the ends and snag on the D-rings instead of through them. I don't know why I didn't do this many years ago. They are also heavy enough not to survive whatever rolling horses do and other things they encounter. I'm sure they have a million other useful uses I can find. Excellent purchase!

I make custom dog collars and leashes and the fasteners I usually get (right) weren't stocked for what I needed so I ordered these (the ones on the left) were, as the description said, "heavy duty". If I only made leashes for small/medium sized dogs it wouldn't be so bad but they definitely aren't made for the heavy use.
