Great product for engine cooling and air conditioning

GM 3.4 liter engines tend to overheat. This thermostat opens at a lower temperature than the OEM and seems to make a difference by lowering the operating temperature. Perfect fit for my 2000 Grand Am GT.

Will not fit 1990 Silverado.

Although the description said 'Yes this will fit your 1990 Chevrolet Silverado 350 with a 5.7L engine but not. Too little. It hit my truck's engine. I took a break from writing this review as I'm having trouble getting it off the engine block. Customers can email me at 423-595-9165

Pros
  • Excellent fit for me
Cons
  • Crumpled

Works as advertised, but check your app before using!

Works like a Delco part. 180 degrees is the wrong temperature for my truck. Thermostats are not to blame at all. Highly recommended, however 195 degrees is more appropriate for most applications. Using this thermostat in hot weather can reduce air conditioning efficiency if you have a clutch fan, and lower temperatures will also reduce your vehicle's heating efficiency in cold weather. I've also found this thermostat to open earlier than 195* which extends the warm up cycle in cold weather.

Pros
  • Convenient item
Cons
  • Low repairability

Happy in 2000 Grand-AM

Fits my 2000 GM 3.4L 3400 Pontiac Grand-AM very well. good pressure I had no problems with the one already installed, but I followed the procedure for replacing the LIM (lower intake manifold) gasket and decided to replace the thermostats. I chose to do this 180 degree turn because I've always felt my Grand AM would run a little colder. Unfortunately, my Grand Am is still running at 1/2 (unchanged) 200F. UPDATE >>> Now that the fluids are fine, coolant and burping, it actually works at
