Perfect fit for 1998 Chevy C3500

Good genuine part. Perfect fit for 1998 Chevy C3500. As a bonus, when you bought a camp heater, it was free. I love OEM parts and Revain and can get them at an affordable price. Thanks very much!

Pros
  • Enjoy
Cons
  • Very expensive

Not the right part. for engine cooling and air conditioning

Will not fit 2003 Chevy 2500 commuter with 8.1 liter engine although Revain claims it will. Included are photos of the original smaller thermostat compared to the much larger new thermostat. The new thermostat also has brass rivets, the original doesn't. Looks like GM part number 131-131 but the part number 131-121 is clearly printed on the box.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Hard to tell

Just the right temperature.

I changed this when I changed the coolant. The part number is a GM number so I'll assume it's OEM if it's not genuine, but the price doesn't reflect authenticity. I read where these details are for specific GM applications. AC Delco parts that say "professional" are more generic. Works fine for me on vortec 8.1. Now that winter has come, the engine warms up for a long time. I think it's the GM V8, not the thermostat.

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • Nothing here
