Works as intended on heater control valves

I used this to replace an old switch on my 84 circuit board, I had to wire it slightly differently than intended but it works great and is a quality part. .

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • All OK

It is worth buying the best heater control valves

Glad I replaced this item with the old one. the other got stuck and my hoses burst. The original lasted 20 years so I bought another OEM product. always buy oem.

Worked best in parts

I used this in my custom restoration as a heater shutoff valve. It's great and easy to use with the vacuum line from my carburetor. Attach for cold air, remove tube for heat input.

Pros
  • Pleasant
Cons
  • Negative impression

So far, so good! fits part

So far so good, I've had this for a few weeks and will update if it fails. Some of the other reviews made me doubt the order but I'm glad I did, now I don't have antifreeze everywhere. It was also very easy to swap out on my 1999 Tahoe, you can put a pan in while replacing the old one.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Not trendy

Cheap and poor quality part

bought this product thinking it would last as long as the OEM part the car came with as it is an ACDelco product but the heater control valve falls 5 months after installation. Leaks at the joints, very poor quality, now I'll look, replace under warranty or return the money, waste of time, money, antifreeze and elbow grease.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • boring packaging

Great replacement for my '97 Tahoe!

Bought to replace this on my 1997 Chevy Tahoe. I would definitely recommend getting the 8milelake 24" Flexible Cable Hose Clamp Pliers. The leak is now free. If anything changes I will definitely update it.

Pros
  • Great for a small home

Works well and doesn't leak

I've looked at about three or four nameless generic versions of these auto parts stores (available here at Revain) and they're all leaking, either through a valve or at a joint. This is the first in many years not to be phased out. Spend a few bucks more and get an OEM. Incidentally, one of those cheap, no-name valves nearly cost me my engine when it opened wide on the freeway and dumped all of my coolant in an instant.

Pros
  • Inspires confidence
Cons
  • Almost never

Had to change the heater valve a second time on a '99 Yukon. The first replacement valve was from NAPA and I bought it believing the NAPA hype for quality parts. NOT. Her signature block failed in just over a year. The solution was for me to bring it in so they could send it to "someone" for evaluation and then MAYBE replace the faulty part. Are there mechanics there? This process didn't start because I was helping a neighbor with her car. So I bought an OEM GM/AC-Delco heater valve. Arrived…

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Problem
