2008 Grand Prix good for sensors

Put my 2008 Grand Prix on the road. I had starting problems. The car behaved as if it didn't have enough fuel. It starts but doesn't light up. I hooked up the diagnostic computer he said to replace that sensor. Now it starts and runs great.

Pros
  • Fully equipped with modern technology
Cons
  • I don't like anything about it, everything is fine

Works great and fits perfectly

Works great and fits perfectly. I changed my CPS to prevent it. It's a lot of work and you have to remove the harmonic balancer. I don't want to do this again so I used the Delco AC part. Revain is a great site to buy genuine AC Delco products at great prices. Just go to the AC Delco website and check the part number. Sometimes they have the wrong numbers but they still get 5 stars for great prices.

Pros
  • Internationally known for our diverse range of award winning products
Cons
  • Small Parts

So you'll need special tools (good air wrench; puller required)

This seems to have solved the occasional stall on our 2001 Buick LeSabre (6 weeks to date when there used to be more than 1 stall per week). Note that to replace the sensor you will need to remove the harmonic balancer from the crank, so you will need some special tools (good air impact wrench; you will need a puller). I also replaced the ignition control module, coils, and idle control valve, but that didn't fix the stalling issue.

Pros
  • High quality manufacturer
Cons
  • Scarce manual

Fixed: P0 420 Best in Sensors

What I liked is that after replacing the CKP sensor, the P0420 code was fixed. All the service info said it needed a new catalytic converter, 02 sensors or new spark plugs. I have 35 years of experience in vehicle repairs and am a vehicle trainer, ASE-certified vehicle technician and master mechanic. I have access to all sorts of online manuals to find repair information. Nowhere did any of them say that installing a new CKP would fix the P0420 code. I replaced it over 2 months ago and the code

Pros

Cons
  • In Progress
