Overpriced part $2 for $35 like everywhere but works well

Genuine ac delco part. The quality is good, but the price seems too high to me. Can't cost more than $2 to make this braid. But everywhere in these parts it is high. Seems to be working fine.

Pros
  • Worth the money
Cons
  • No performance

The perfect solution to the problem

Very easy to install. I emailed Dorman and was given installation instructions to see where the brackets were hanging. Respond quickly with PDF instructions. I've been on my truck for 2 weeks and haven't had any problems with the injector or any codes.

Pros
  • nice little thing
Cons

Very nicely assembled part and should work well

The wires were white and not pink as in the picture. Very nicely built part and should work well. I installed it a few hours ago and will do a real test drive with a large trailer tomorrow to see if it solves my problem.

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • Long wait

In all the videos I've watched people have warned that cylinder #7 (rear passenger cylinder) doesn't have much splicing room, which I found when I partially removed the top of the inner wheel arch wing. , (after disconnecting the #7 wire from the injector) you can unscrew the #7 and #5 wires from the glow plug, it only takes a few minutes and you'll have a few more inches of wiring harness to play with. This makes splicing a new braid easy and quick. The assembly of the wing took longer.

Pros
  • Brilliantly done
Cons
  • Lots of stuff

It fits perfectly and is better than the original.

I received an error code on my 2005 Duramax stating that the injector on cylinder #. Investigation showed this injector connector was prone to failure. I pulled it out and it looked bad. I removed it and replaced it with a new connector using solder and heat shrink tubing. The new plug was much better. Apparently GM realized they had a problem and fixed it. The error code is gone and I've driven several thousand miles with no problems. I saved hundreds of dollars by making it myself.

Pros
  • Crossing my fingers
Cons
  • Only available in white

On my second electrical good

My injector pigtails are gradually failing in my LLY. I bought this to fix a previous #8 that was bad and made the truck sound like a John Deere and had a top speed of 10mph. Now the other bank is bad, I should have just sat down and done all 8. The "ice pick" method can get you a few thousand miles, but I expect them to last another 275,000 like the originals. Why? Wire gauge is the same as OEM, as opposed to thinner imported connectors. The plug casting is the same thickness as opposed to the

Pros
  • Annual trial period
Cons
  • Update availability
