Pleasantly surprised at their quality and how well they match my low metal platform bed frame. I was expecting Ikea quality but got heavier wood and very nice color scheme - it looks hand made. I needed a little reinforcement so I could tuck things under the bed but didn't lose the platform style and they fit perfectly on the bed frame without the 'legs' - it was easy to put the frame on and they were big /tough enough for that I didn't need you to fix the frame. This unit seems really solid, even the incomplete unit shown above easily supports my very heavy sofa. One thing I should have paid attention to in the description is that this riser is tiny. It is only a few centimeters tall at 2.75 inches. I purchased this item because my elderly parents have difficulty sitting on my couch because it is so low but the couch barely raises it.
