Works seamlessly with computer accessories and peripherals

This device works great with all common reading and writing tools on most NFC devices. I've used it to create NFC stickers for our rental homes for Wi-Fi codes so people just have to hold their phones to the stickers to connect. Very cool!

Pros
  • Ideal for a small home
Cons
  • Security

LibNFC does not work. Pyscard or pcsc-lite works fine

The main disadvantage is that this reader does not work with libnfc or some other Linux NFC managers. However, you can still use it with PCSC and definitely read and write cards that way. Although it beeps annoyingly, it can be turned off relatively easily.

  • Weight
Cons

Not much to say. It works.

There is nothing to say about this device. It pretty much does what it's supposed to do, which is a very specific job. I was able to use it with Wakdev's "NFCTools" with no problems and found that several other programs for NFC devices work, including GoToTags. So far this seems very fast and reliable for my purposes.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Exorbitant piggy bank

Yubikey NFC Reader Memory Card Reader Compatible

Drivers are required for this card reader to work. I used a system for windows called AuthLite. With the right drivers, there's no need to plug my NFC Yubikey into a USB port, wait for it to be recognized, and then touch the top of the button to authenticate. I just bring my NFC Yubikey to the reader and can log on to my Windows workstation. It works when you sign in, unlock your screen, or provide a Yubikey string to any application that otherwise accepts a Yubikey (i.e. plugged into a USB…

does what it says

I recently bought a Yubikey 5 and I have it on my keychain. Instead of plugging it in directly, which can be tricky for the port and key (all my keys weigh a bit together), I wanted to get an NFC reader so I could just put my keys on it and access all of its features. Plugged it in, Win 10 recognized it as a CCID smart card reader. I put my Yubikey on it, squeaked once and was discovered. Pulled out gpg --card-status, found my card and read all the keys I had stored on it. It literally couldn't

With SAM? Read it first!

So, to tell the truth, I probably should have figured out how to open the case and add a SAM card, but since despite numerous mentions here on their site and on their site, there is NO documentation on it There are product/tech pdfs on this topic I align those two stars. This is a typical documentation violation that you would expect from a product shipped direct from China. Anyway, I broke open the case and figured the cover would just pop off to reveal the circuit board and card slot inside…

Pros
  • Easy to use

  • Nothing
