Description of Action Camera X-Try XTC500 Gimbal Real 4K/60FPS WDR Wi-Fi Standart

Action camera X-TRY ХТС500 GIMBAL with optical mechanical image stabilizer. The mechanical optical image stabilization technology of this camera is based on the use of miniature axial electromagnets to hold the camera sensor itself in two planes (X-Y). As a rule, the optical image stabilization system in a digital camera lens is implemented in such a way that there is an additional stabilizing optical element inside the lens, which directly controls the deviations of the image projection onto the matrix. This technology has its drawbacks, such as the high cost and complexity of execution, additional distortion in the picture and excessive impact on the aperture ratio of the lens. The X-TRY XTC500 GIMBAL action camera implements a technology in which the sensor itself is “suspended” between four miniature electromagnets, with the help of which, according to the signal from the sensors for the angle of rotation and the speed of the lens deviation, the deviation of the camera lens itself in two axes of space is compensated. All this allows you to achieve soft and not sharp transitions during shooting, eliminate blurring and vibrations, making the image clearer and smoother. The device is equipped with a high-performance Sunplus iCatch V39 processor based on Arm Cortex-A7 CPU, 720MHz with SONY IMX286 sensor (1/3.06" (1.12Μm x 1.12Μm pixel), aperture F/2.6) which allow you to record video in 4K/60FPS mode without The camera has a 140° wide-angle lens with an adjustable angle of view, dual-axis mechanical optical image stabilization, as well as electronic image stabilization and a wide dynamic range (WDR) function. The following video shooting modes are supported: 4K@60fps, 4K@30fps, 2.7K@ 30fps, FHD1080p@60fps, FHD1080p@30fps, HD720p@120fps, HD720p@60fps, HD720p@30fp. Cyclic video shooting and the auto start function (turns on the DVR mode when the car engine starts) allows you to use the camera as an auto DVR, and the presence of photo shooting modes (single, multi-shooting, time-lapse shooting, time lapse) and video modes (Loop recording, Slow motion) make shooting convenient, quality and comfortable. The built-in WiFi module provides not only control of shooting modes and various camera settings, but also the transfer of recorded material to mobile devices. Can be used as a WEB-camera (no sound). Supports microSD SDXC memory cards up to 128 GB (memory card sold separately). The regular removable battery has a capacity of 1050 mAh, in addition, it is possible to work from an external battery (Poverbank) both in shooting mode and in charging mode. Unsatisfactory quality, I will not buy this again.

I used it for a year, a wild overprice for the terrible quality of shooting, you can’t even use it as a registrar for a car because of the light sensitivity and sound. I took the maximum configuration for 15,490, the only difference is in accessories from GoPro and an additional battery, which has a capacity less than stock. Bottom line: money down the drain. because It’s even a shame to show the video from this camera, and not to lay it out somewhere, it’s difficult to screw up so many…

Pros
  • At least some hardware stabilization, but at 30FPS Small size 4k output video. Universal mount and GoPro form factor
Cons
  • At 60 FPS, the stabilization disappears. The software is terrible, it can't do anything. WiFi is better not to use. implemented extremely inconveniently. A 2022 smartphone for 13k shoots 10 times better. Even with stabilization, the video has a "shaky" effect. At night, it’s better not to even turn it on, you can’t see anything even on the road with lighting. Takes 2-3 hours at best. If the wind is strong, the camera may freeze and shooting will not continue.
