I bought this face scrub but found that it was probably too harsh for my delicate skin. It didn't irritate my skin even though I have sensitive skin which is a big plus, but it was a bit too harsh for my liking. If you have oilier skin, this is probably better for you. Not only does this product not do what it says it does, it also makes a bloody mess (even if you use it in the shower). The texture is also incredibly weird, which put me off a lot. It looks and feels like a can of cosmetic sand with a very weird feeling on the face. I had to use it in the shower as it made a mess in my sink during use. It was easier to get in the shower, but it was still a mess. Pooh.

This product set my skin on fire like someone doused me in gasoline and threw a match and nothing has eased the painful burning sensation. Face, hands, stomach and yes I followed the instructions. I don't know if it's just a product or something else because I use other charcoal products in my daily life and I've never had a problem getting a reaction like this, I would definitely never redeem again

The scrub actually works really well for my skin so I'll probably use it every 2 weeks. I don't have sensitive skin, but I still have to be very gentle when using it or I feel like I'm being scorched by the wind. The aroma is overwhelming. But man. Luck followed. The skin is so smooth afterwards. After that I use a really good moisturizer because my skin is pretty dry afterwards. I will continue to use the charcoal scrub when it's gone but not this brand anymore as the smell is very strong.

I saw a lot of conflicting reviews on this product but decided to give it a try anyway. I don't like how dirty it is. If you're asked to use it in the shower, be sure to use it in the shower. I've seen some people complain about it being a sugar scrub and not a salt scrub, but I've also seen it paired with something other than the 'upscale' brand in the pictures. I have an upmarket brand and definitely a salt scrub. Not that I care, but I think I'll let you all know. All in all I won't buy it…

smells great. feels and looks like black sand. Washes off instantly with just water, so keep away from running water until you're done washing. My face felt so fresh and light after one use, I still love it, and it exfoliates better than any store bought "blackhead peel" I've used. no burning, the product is very neutral. If your face burns when using it, it means your skin is unhealthy, too dry and irritated.
