Noise level too low

I tried really hard to like it but. I have to return it as the sound is almost inaudible 3ft away. My old TRW recorder is much better than this one. I wanted to use it to record my medical professionals' visits, but not at such a low audio level.

The sound is terrible!

There were a lot of good reviews about this microphone, so I was very pleased when it came out. We used it for the bride's mic at a wedding and it sounds very reverberant and far away. We tried again for another wedding and it was the same. Now we've "waited too long" and the returns window has closed, so we're stuck with this piece of crap. I would not recommend that.

I've been using VLC player for years and this is the recommended player for playback.

Expensive for a recorder, especially without speakers and better controls. I thought the instructions could be a bit better and that goes for turning it off when plugged into a computer. It doesn't explain it, but if it can be corrupted that way, that would be a problem. However, they pack a lot into such a small device. The controls are located on the integrated text graphic display of the device. This is normal after setup and habituation. Voice mode is useful for recording class discussions…
