Easy-To-Use Salinity Tester for Aquariums

This hydrometer was a blessing for my aquarium. It's very easy to use, and gives an accurate measurement of salinity in my tank. The design is sleek and compact, perfect for any aquarium setup. The only downside is that it doesn't come with calibration solution, but it is readily available in most pet supplies stores. Overall, I highly recommend this hydrometer for any aquarium hobbyist looking for a reliable and easy-to-use salinity tester.

Pros
  • Accurately measures salinity levels in aquariums.
Cons
  • Requires frequent calibration to maintain accurate readings.

Not recommended. on Fish & Aquatic Pets

This was the cheapest I could find, unfortunately a 'get what you pay for' case, there was extra plastic on and around the 'hinge' of the measuring arm which I couldn't remove. There is no certainty about the accuracy.

Pros
  • Quick Salt Specific Gravity Measurement.
Cons
  • Appearance

Readings from the same sample sources everywhere

WHOA. This thing is everywhere. I will take a sample from my aquarium which will show 1.015. I will take another sample from the same aquarium and get a result of 1.035. I kept checking back and got something brand new every time. It is very inaccurate and should by no means be relied upon to check the salinity of a reef or bird tank.

Pros
  • Flush with fresh water after use
Cons
  • Nothing
