Adafruit Wire Coin Inverter ADA1350 Review

Works great. Easy to hack. The shorter the EL wire, the brighter it glows. I only need a few inches for what I use it for, but if you have a longer cable I would go for a more powerful driver.

It's very compact which is good for portable projects, but I connected it to an 18 inch electronic device. wire, and it was very dark. I had to hook it up to another inverter that was the same voltage (2xAA, 3V) but another factor (mah?) must have affected the brightness, although that might be ok with much shorter wires.

Comes with no instructions so you don't even know how to put the battery in. I tried it with a new battery and a 19 inch piece of electrical wire. The connections worked fine, but nothing happened. No light through the cable. Sad because I actually wanted a small inverter for the project, but the thing is a piece of junk that just doesn't work.
