RAM defective on internal components

Defective. iMac freezes/crashes. I have followed all the instructions. I washed my hands and made sure I had removed the static electricity. I first placed this new RAM with the old RAM to fill all the slots. Booted, recognized normally. But I noticed that it runs slower than usual. Then it hung/hung and restarted. kept doing it. So I took out the old RAM thinking it was a compatibility issue. I even used the same original slots for the new RAM. The same thing. I then took out the new RAM, put…

iMac 27 " Late 2012 upgraded from 16GB to 32GB. Well worth it

I've spent days looking for options like replacing the hard drive with an SSD or even adding an mSATA SSD Late 2012 models don't benefit at all from the latter option.Price-wise, these options were about the same as 32GB RAM, but my main concern was having to detach the screen to update through other means. While the download and Download speed of applications has not changed noticeably, switching between applications, opening many applications, watching videos and surfing, working in Excel and…

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities

Worth the money

I have an old used MacBook Pro from 2012 that only came with 4GB RAM. I've had mixed opinions as to whether upgrading to 16GB would really hurt performance. Well that's for sure! The machine runs at least twice as fast as before. Applications like Word that took 2 to 3 minutes to start up started in less than 30 seconds. The same with Photoshop. Let's be honest. It's still an old computer. However, the additional memory has made it comparable in speed to a cheap NEW laptop but with the benefit…

What do I need to upgrade my MacBook Pro 2012

The package delivers great and it is great value for what I paid for. The RAM upgrade is what my mom's MacBook needs, faster and with the new memory it helps her a lot with her tasks. Before installing ram i watched a video on how to do it and it helps a lot and what a mac is good for. I'd rather have that than investing in a new Mac that doesn't use too much, so we're saving big. The seal and information on the box makes it a better price for what I'm paying.

Pros
  • Finally bought
Cons
  • Speed

Mac won't work with both 8gb cards

I installed both cards in my Mac Gf mid 2010 and it wouldn't boot with both 8gb cards installed just a beep , then i went online to find a solution and just found out that the mac is limited to 8 gigabytes of memory and i tried to install twice as much. So I left an 8GB card with the 2GB card it came with and it booted. It says I have 10 gigs now. I've noticed an improvement as I cycle through the images, but loading times are still a bit slow. Now I only have an extra 8 gig card as a backup.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Functionality
