At first I found it odd, the battery doesn't sit in the light like most other batteries, but that's because the contact surfaces don't have holes, they're flat so it feels po- to another if you put it in the light. Thinking it was safe I plugged it in and it worked great. I use it with a NEEWER 160 LED CN-160 dimmable light for game streaming and it works great, never had a problem with battery drain or anything. I will most likely buy a few more for my other lamps.

The battery layout of this product will not work in devices designed for NP-F970 batteries! The sockets for this battery have two spring loaded contacts that fit into two battery or battery socket connectors. Mannequin or that crap doesn't have female jacks, just two metal plates that serve as contacts. They are rigid and immobile. Therefore it is mechanically impossible to use this battery dummy. It's nothing but a stupid fake, worth nothing but a trash can.

So far so good - I bought this adapter to power some Aputure LED panels and the adapter (although it fits well) seems to work great . I also tried it on a Neewer F100 monitor and it seemed a little shaky at first, but after a second try it was reasonably reliable and worked flawlessly. I will be getting some more pacifiers/battery packs from other brands to compare and update this review. . I highly recommend them
