Working but poorly packaged

1. No recommendations2. You can't tell if it's threaded or not.3. If you don't have any leftover case screws or other screws from the computer hardware, you won't get this to work unless you "modify" it. Or order a screw when you order this PCIe adapter. I have many screws that I have been fixing on computers for years, but if you don't have a screw available or forgot to order one. (very small) dot of superglue on the bottom of the brass standoff to attach it to the board. I then put my m.2 in

Works great with Samsung 970 Evo Plus

Full speed with Samsung 970 Evo+ 500GB in PCIe 3.0 x8 slot. Tests (Atto Disk) show 3200 MB/s read and 3500 MB/s write, as expected. Use with an aftermarket radiator I received from Revain: [ASIN: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07KDDKDNN]. Great price, good packaging, very satisfied.

This board was installed in the second PCIe 3.0 x16 slot with a Corsair Force Series MP600 1TB Gen4 PCIe X4 NVMe M.2 SSD. I am using this on a Sabertooth X79 motherboard which is 5 years old at the moment. Works out of the box, no driver needed

I received a used 512GB NVMe SSD to use in my laptop. For some reason the previous owner oddly formatted it for Linux, my Widnows 10 laptop couldn't recognize the SSD after I installed it. I felt the SSD was good, it just needed a proper reformat on the PC. So I got this adapter and it worked. I was able to reformat the SSD on my computer using the Windows 10 diskpart utility. So this $7 adapter saved my $50 NVMe SSD. Good business !

Nvme PCIE Gen 3 works as expected

Works very well and is affordable. Fully utilized Nvme PCIE Gen 3 SSD speeds. Just note that you most likely won't be able to boot directly from it, and you'll need to create a boot disk if you want to do that. I just used an old flash drive configured with grub2 and connected it to my motherboard 2.0 header with an adapter.
