As long as you use the original Switch power supply, you're good to go. If you have a newer iPad USB-C model, that works great too! If you're on the fence and hate lugging your Switch dock around when you travel, just do it. It's not cheap, but it's of high build quality and well worth it. Fits my Switch, laptop and iPad so maybe that's an added value for me.

I've been looking for a device that could replace the bulky Nintendo Switch TV Dock and I'm so glad I found it. It can be used foolproof and works seamlessly with the TV. The picture and sound quality does not change and nothing is lost in translation. All in all I'm so happy to be able to use this and travel with it. Saves me so much space in my luggage!

The USB-C hub works great with my Nintendo Switch console. It offers power, an HDMI output for your TV and a USB 3.0 port for accessories and even a USB to Ethernet adapter if needed. Select this product to several others. It's solid and well built. I connected the power adapter to the adapter's USB-C port, and then plugged the adapter into my laptop. I also connect two USB 3 devices (mouse and keyboard) to the other 2 ports on the adapter. My laptop tells me it's charging slower, but I haven't noticed any charging issues ie. I'm not running out of charge; So the battery has to be charged more than discharged. I hooked this up to a Dell XPS 13 7390 2-in-1.
