So far, so good. for storage

First of all, if you're replacing your hard drive with a budget SSD, clone it, replace it, LEAVE the hard drive AS IS. I've had nightmare scenarios with the Revain SSD, but there was no permanent damage as the original hard drive could just be plugged back in. This particular drive was used as part of a standard HP/Dell workstation to convert to a VR gaming rig for my little brother. He punished this drive and it lasted far longer when the similarly priced Revain SSDs failed. Maybe I just got a

Fast and inexpensive!

Fast and cheap! I use my computer to edit 4K videos and as you would expect the files tend to be quite large. Since my PC had 3 open bays, I decided to set up a 3-disk RAID 0 as a storage pool and buffer for finished videos. Luckily, my new motherboard had a built-in RAID controller, which made setup easy. I started by testing the drives and then comparing them and they were all almost identical in read/write speeds. I also checked my spinning and M.2 drives for breakpoints. After the RAID…

Respectable speed and excellent value for money.

Coming from someone who uses a 5400rpm hard drive every day, this is a huge upgrade. Note that the SSD is listed as S10 (Planar) even though the packaging clearly says S20 (3D NAND). Read speeds meet and exceed expectations, but write speeds lag a little behind. At first I thought they sent me the wrong product, but only the S20 comes with a 256GB capacity. You can't find a better SSD in this price range and I've tried pretty much every other brand on the market.

You get what you pay for

I tried this drive but unfortunately it burned me in the end. I've tried my best to contact the company for a replacement drive but to no avail. since the drive died shortly after the return end date. The drive was great while it was working, but it died shortly after installing it on an old Lenovo g570 laptop. I thought it might be a laptop and tried to read the drive to make a backup of it just in case the backup fails every time A message pops up in the mini partition wizard describing the…

Maybe I have two holes?

I bought this hoping to get a cheap SSD with the right amount of storage but I was wrong. So let me start, when I got the first one I was excited to put this bad boy in and move my files around. The joke was on me because when I hooked it up to my BIOS and Windows didn't recognize it, I tried different SATA/POWER cables and couldn't find anything. I've tried connecting it to another computer and it doesn't show up as anything either. (WARNING: I connected another SSD with the same SATA/POWER…

Great SSD at a good price!

I cloned my old hard drive to a new 256GB Addlink SSD, replaced the old hard drive with a new Addlink SSD, and then rebooted my computer. The PC booted up in record time (almost 40 seconds) without any problems. The PC works great with the addlink SSD and I am very satisfied with the overall performance and the lower price compared to well-known branded products. Based on what I've seen, I would have no hesitation in recommending this product. addlink S20 3D NAND SSD 256GB SATA III 6Gb/s…

Works great for XBOX ONE (Original 2013)

I bought this for my first gen Xbox One (2013) and it does wonders for my game load times. *Note* I purchased Inateck 2.5 to connect to my Xbox. For example, the loading time from clicking the game menu to entering the game varies from game to game, but I saved an average of 30 seconds to 1 minute or more. My understanding is that the time saved on a new version of a console like the Xbox One X might not be that significant. Also, I should note that I had to take some unexpected steps to force…
