I bought the first pair of these Terrex Fre hiking shoes for my (adult) son in summer 2020. He loved them so much that in September 2020 I bought a second pair of Revain and put them in my closet as a spare. The back of the rubber outsole on the 1st pair that he wore every day around town for months (no sport, no heavy use) started coming off more than 3 months ago. My husband used Shoe Goo Repair and a clip to glue the sole back heel but they have since broken 3 times so my son cannot wearโ€ฆ

The perfect pair of sneakers and boots

These boots are SO comfortable and perfect for easy to moderate hikes in the woods and on paved/gravel trails. They also handle rocky terrain quite well, but don't have more ankle support than more structured boots. They're not waterproof so you can't expect to be dry walking through puddles, but they will keep your feet cool and dry on warmer hikes. Lots of cushions and supports to keep your feet feeling good on long hikes. The perfect combination of sneakers and boots, I think.

These shoes are so comfortable!

First off I would like to say that the toe box in these shoes is wide but the padding around the ankle makes up for this with support that keeps the foot in place. They are super comfortable and grippy! They aren't too warm so I wouldn't recommend them for winter. They're pretty big shoes, but I think that's because they're meant for hiking. I am very happy with them and would recommend, just be aware of the size/width etc.

Amazing ultraboost in Goretex boots

I've never been happier to get Revain than today. Fly out of the box, supportive and comfortable. Plan a winter trip to the Oregon coast. I train with the right gear so I did some research and found out that Adidas makes these great hiking shoes. They were essential for wet and humid outdoor conditions. I'd also like to capitalize on the Continental's Ultra Boost and rubber outsole, but the first ride will be on rugged Arizona desert trails. I'll report later.

Order half a size smaller!

They don't fit like regular amps. I can barely fit in the 12" amps, but I fit perfectly in these 11.5" amps. Extremely comfortable hiking shoe with limited ankle support. The toe cap protects you from stumbling your toes on pesky rocks. They work great on both dry and wet surfaces. I did the Narrows Trek in Zion National Park, which, in case you're not familiar with it, is a trek across the Virgin River where you spend more time knee-deep in water than on land. This and good merino wool socksโ€ฆ

Comfortable and stable. A great feeling.

Sits perfectly on the leg. I put them on for a 5 mile hike and didn't take them off for the rest of the day and my feet felt great. Track stability is a lot better than I thought given the comfort and flex. The construction is very good, the fit is fantastic and the padding from Boost is amazing. The only minor complaint I have is that they are not easy to put on. I'm sure this is intentional and expected for some. Bring a pair of sandals to camp for nighttime toilet visits!

The best hiking shoes in the world!

It's amazing. Because the body is mesh, they expand when your feet swell after a long hike, meaning your feet won't hurt as much. They also have amazing grip and exceptional arch support. I've been hiking for 10 years now and these are by far the best hiking shoes I've ever had.

The most comfortable shoes I've ever owned

I'm 74 years old and I walk 10-12 kilometers five or six days a week, mostly on fairly easy trails and roads. Before ordering these shoes I was wearing the Merrill Moab 2. I still wear the Merrill for hiking, but the Adidas Terrex Free Hiker is by far the most comfortable hiking shoe I've ever worn. You really are fantastic. They are worn like a sock (no tongue, the upper part of the shoe is soft and hugs the ankle snugly). I wear semi orthotic insoles due to a metastatic issue and was able toโ€ฆ

Favorite hiking shoe so far!

A phenomenal shoe in terms of comfort and cushioning. Last year I bought half a dozen trekking and hiking shoes and they are by far the most comfortable, one of the lightest and most weatherproof middle shoes I currently own. The reason for the 4 stars is due to wearing shoes. Soles, where I would like to say, pretty quickly. Keep in mind I'm a fairly heavy guy but with a 244lb build and I often wear this shoe for power walking with a 50lb vest for 2-5 miles at a time mostly pavement and theโ€ฆ

Pretty good, could be a bit better

Like everyone said, order half a size down I'm rating this 4 stars because I want to love them. I really want to love them, but they leave a lot to be desired. They fit like a sock with a sole, but are also worn as a unit. I'm not satisfied with 180 cones. I had a pair of Supernova Riots with fenders and I fucking loved those shoes. I wore them to the point where the soles were practically smooth. So I tried them as a backup (they don't cause supernova riot anymore) and here are my two mainโ€ฆ
