It seems to me that this is a very expensive tool

It cost me more than 20 dollars and took about three days. The little plastic ring that conducts all the important electrical impulses was gone when I took it out of the storage box that I kept in the original box. The pen won't work without that plastic ring, so now I've got $20 junk. I read on youtube.com that these rings cost about $4 for two replacements. It seems to me that this is a very expensive tool. I understand why most iPad users draw with their finger. I examined the ring and…

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • Vulgarity

This stylus deserves five stars because of the writing and the feel. This is the best I've ever used and I've tried many. But as others have pointed out, the clampless barrel design poses a major problem: the needle will inevitably roll off the table, and when it hits the floor, the disc at the tip will pop out. This happened to me on a trip and the drive got lost in the carpet for 24 hours. This is unacceptable. Fortunately, replacement discs are cheap and I will never be without them again…

I hope one day my drawing skills are worthy of this stylus

I am new to digital painting. Actually, I decided to do it and therefore ordered the Adonit Jot Pro Stylus. I'm still not a seasoned digital artist, but that's not because of Jot Pro. I just need practice. This stylus is a great tool to start with. It's well balanced, feels comfortable in the hand and is affordable. An embossed herringbone pattern on the needle body improves grip. I like that the threaded cap can be attached to the threaded end of the pen while you're drawing so you don't lose…

Purchased for use with iPad Air2 (with ZAGG GLASS HX screen cover) Just to get to the point, I was originally going to return this pen when it WAS NOT WORKING AT ALL in the Microsoft OneNote app on my iPad Air2 or my new Lenovo Yoga 910 2-in-1. I was shocked at the issues with the latter as it's just a bare screen with no protective film on a tablet. However, since I was planning on getting Notability and/or GoodNotes for my iPad anyway (since I'm a lot less addicted to OneNote), I decided to…

Very nice and simple stylus

This is a very slim, well designed and high quality stylus at a very competitive price compared to other brands. For starters, this pen doesn't have any Bluetooth chip or capability, so it's going to lack some of the features of a high-end stylus. Don't let that discourage you though, this stylus is highly functional and a great alternative for those on a budget. I am using my ASUS MeMo Android tablet with the Squid and INKredible stylus apps installed. I find these two apps respond really well

Supplement to the 1st assessment. Some design bugs and suggestions.

This is an addition to my original review. As mentioned in my original review, I bought another copper pen. I still love it and use it every day. All aspects of my first review still stand, but after some use I agree with some other reviews that the tip pops out too easily. It's like looking for a contact lens. Depending on where you are when she appears, you may not have a pen. I have a few extras in my backpack now as I had to buy a few. In addition, the tip itself may become worn or…

Good for notes. A screen protector is recommended.

I bought the Adonit Jot Pro for use with the iPad Air after being very disappointed with the reliability of some of the more expensive active styluses. I use this stylus exclusively for handwritten notes (Goodnotes <- great app). I don't draw. I don't use a stylus to navigate the general user interface. I am currently using a pen to take notes for an online linear algebra course. I have a Techarmor matte screen protector on my iPad Air. (That's a great screen protector, by the way. Highly…
