This stylus deserves five stars because of the writing and the feel. This is the best I've ever used and I've tried many. But as others have pointed out, the clampless barrel design poses a major problem: the needle will inevitably roll off the table, and when it hits the floor, the disc at the tip will pop out. This happened to me on a trip and the drive got lost in the carpet for 24 hours. This is unacceptable. Fortunately, replacement discs are cheap and I will never be without them again. But there is an easy workaround: the rubber band slipped into the "clip" (see attached photo). It's really unattractive and renders the clip useless (although IMO it's pretty much useless anyway - looks good but doesn't really work), but my pen hasn't rolled off the table since I put the rubber band on it.
