For modern laptops with USB-C/Thunderbolt ports.

My new Dell XPS 9710 comes fully equipped with Thunderbolt/USB-C ports. Luckily, you can use any of them as needed. The curse is the lack of native ports of other formats. I've mostly switched to USB-C/TB3 dongles from my other laptops and Apple hardware, so I have a few breakout boxes and ports, but sometimes you need a 1:1 cable specifically for simplicity and ergonomics. Works great with my battery

I have a battery but it has a USB-C and a USB-A connector. I liked those short strong cables so much I had to get this one to work through the USB-A port. These cables are available in different connection types. They are short and strong. The only problem I have with them is that they are a bit stiff and don't roll very well, it's best to flip them to make connections. Otherwise they work as expected and are of high quality.

Useful when traveling with USB-C

The current generation of laptops, docking stations and chargers are steadily moving away from the USB-A standard in favor of USB-C. But you still have a lot of USB-A devices. This adapter offers us more than form factor conversion; It saves more speed for use with SSDs and other high-speed devices. The semi-rigid design seems more reliable if you need to plug and unplug frequently. As mentioned, you can't stream videos, but it's possible to support Qualcomm's charging protocol. Not cheap, so…

High quality cable suitable for Android Auto

This is a high quality cable suitable for Android Auto. I have connected Android Auto to my truck. The connector is inches from where I place my phone, so I needed a short cord that didn't have extra length to get in the way. So far I could not find: 1) such a short cable as I need; and 2) high quality aftermarket cable compatible with Android Auto. I tried several aftermarket cables and Android Auto didn't recognize my phone with any of them. I was only able to use the standard cable that came
