Description of πŸ“Ά Aideepen ESP8266 Serial Wi-Fi Wireless ESP-01 Adapter Module 3.3V 5V Compatible Pack of 3 for Arduino

A adapter module for ESP-01 Wi-Fi module. it also can be used with Arduino UNO R3 or compatible board. 3.3V voltage regulator circuit and onboard level conversion circuit can make 5V microcontroller easy to use with ESP-01 Wi-Fi module. Working voltage: 4.5~5.5V (On-board 3.3V LDO Regulator). Interface logic voltage: 3.3V / 5V compatible(On-board level shift circuit).

I also like the fact that it specifies where alignment.

it does exactly what it's supposed to. I also like the fact that it shows the ESP-01's direction of travel. What I'm missing is the lack of connectivity to GP0, GP1 and RST.

Pros
  • Quick replacement
Cons
  • Some bugs

didn't work best in computers and accessories

I found that the only way I can get it to work is to hold IOpin0 low when I turn it on and then release it. I can program it like this. Not too happy I soldered the switch to IO0 and gnd. I see that others have had good success. Maybe I have a bad one.

Pros
  • great selection
Cons
  • sad packaging

where is the button

Works, but only after modification. To upload firmware to ESP-01 you need to short 2 pins when connecting. I soldered the SPST button onto a small circuit board and added adapters to connect it to the ESP-01.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Almost never

Necessary!

This is a must if you want to connect your ESP-01 directly to the programmer and upload sketch after sketch to work on minor revisions/bug fixes with just the ESP-01. I just soldered some wires for GND, GPIO00 and GPIO02 and also added a momentary switch connected to GND and GPIO00 to put it in programming mode. IMHO just missing those pinouts and a programming mode switch, then this would be perfect for debugging or even as a simple standalone backbone for the ESP-01.

Pros
  • Nice Build
Cons
  • Gotcha
