Needed a more powerful straight grinder and it fit the bill. Easy to hold, well assembled without excessive vibration and can be used for long periods of time. .Great power for heavy work like buffing or buffing. The downside is the trigger. a strange design, due to which it is difficult to change the speed after a while of use. Nothing special, but more of a switch than a trigger.
A little heavy at first sight, but immediately comfortable when used. I think the second thing I noticed after weighing it was the tag and serial number. It looks like a badge of excellence that I can't find anymore. The short paddle distance bothered me at first, but throttling it feels very natural and not all that difficult. I will say that the throttle position and speed kinda jumped as it vibrated and tried to run away as I twisted the cable, but that's probably something that can beβ¦
As a professional metal sculptor who spends long days grinding and sanding, I give this Aircat a 1hp rating. powerful and quiet. I think they can even be compared to electric straight grinders and have similar or better performance; depending on what brand they are compared to and how good your air supply is. I can actually dig with a 4" cut-off wheel or large carbide bit and it stays strong. I currently have 3rd problem? The trigger sucks for long-term use. They call it a spring trigger butβ¦
