Unit works great for the price

You get what you pay for. The device works great for the price. I don't know longevity. Built on a thin, flimsy metal foundation that needs good support.

Pros

Cons
  • I have no particular complaints about it, everything is fine

The pigtail adapter saved a life.

In the end all I needed was a wire harness and some insulation, I was able to reuse my existing setup and it still saved my life as the Coleman I bought didn't have an adapter wire I needed to order connect to an existing wiring harness.

Pros

Cons
  • I'll keep quiet

Coleman's perfect solution for replacing Carrier Air engines

If you are looking to replace your old Carrier Air in your RV this is the perfect solution. You can use an existing indoor unit with a remote controller. The replacement was very easy with the instructions that came with it. The Coleman attachment unit is quieter and more efficient.

Cons
  • So So

So far so good.: Spare parts

Switched to Kolman when the capacitor in our van failed. The conversion kit was fairly easy to install and everything is working well so far. We lowered the temperature sensor as much as possible, as suggested by other reviews. The temperature is still 4-5 degrees above the set temperature, but I can live with that. Be careful with the inner panel. Ours have gotten a bit brittle so don't over tighten the screws. We had to do a little surgery. No real damage and you can't see it, just be gentle.

Pros
  • Automotive
Cons
  • For pensioners

Saved my mind! Excellent work!

I am a DIY enthusiast and the thought of replacing the Carrier RV's AC unit was daunting. Unlike other RV air conditioners, Carrier used a remote controlled thermostat for both the air conditioning and the heater. When I first started looking for a replacement I figured I would have to run wires somewhere on the wall to install a traditional thermostat. This kit saved me and made installation easy! I watched the youtube video they made a few times and then followed the instructions that came…
