They are very durable and subject to careful handling of the needles.

Bought this set to start felting in December 2016. It's April 2017 and I'm still using all the tools. They are very durable and will last a long time if handled with care. The gloves are good but I used them a lot for the first few months so they are very worn. If you're also experiencing this, I suggest getting some rubber shin guards to wear under your leather shin guards for maximum protection.

This is a good set for a beginner, but you definitely get the idea.

This is a good set for a beginner, but you definitely realize that you'll need to upgrade many parts of the set soon after launch. The styrofoam base is awful, I made 3 small (3 inch) animals and one side is dented so bad it is now unusable. The needles are strong and do the job, but the fact that they come unmarked makes it pretty hard for a beginner to figure out which scissors, awl, and wooden handle are great. Ideal for getting started!

(see review at the end) This kit is exactly what I needed! There are several needles of different sizes, but they are not marked. They all come in shamefully together. The handle makes it easy to hold the needle in your hand without tension and it is a very simple design. Finger protection is very important for my untrained hands. I didn't need them for the most part, but I didn't risk not wearing them the first few times. Then I had to hold something in my hand to give it the right shape and…
