It was wonderful. About 10 minutes. Worth trying again.

Good image, easy entry. Can be difficult to assemble. I converted it into an FPV rig for my kids RC cars after soldering a new JST connector. Worked fine for 10 minutes but appears to have blown. it could be me I do not know. I would still recommend it for a simple short range FPV conversion for any RC device. If you're crazy, you can attach it to a working dog harness.

  • A dream come true
Cons

Great for whooping

I have now bought 2 of these for my whoops. If you want to use a canopy you will need to disconnect the camera from the VTX and connect them together so the VTX can lie flat (mullet mod). That being said I wouldn't recommend doing this with this camera unless you're good at soldering as the pads are very small and it's very easy to accidentally bridge them. A good 15x magnifying glass can help ensure that solder joints are not bridged.

Pros
  • Nice finish
Cons
  • Requires socket

Nice camera but some problems

I bought this camera to use with my drone. The quality of the camera is excellent and the ability to change performance is excellent, but that's not the case with my application. The reason I'm leaving this rating at 3 stars is that after about 2 weeks of use part of the antenna mount broke off. This caused the VTX to overheat and eventually burn out, rendering the camera unusable. If I were to buy this camera again I would use it as an airplane or car camera as it is too fragile to be used…

Fantastic Micro Fpv Combo

The camera on my first quad is pictured. Judging by how dirty the quad is, I've probably crashed a few times. This thing proved to be more than solid, only holding with some tape and a rubber band. I'm running it on a 1s brush microcontroller with an F3 evo flight controller and 8520 motors. I soldered the wires directly to the battery terminals and had no problems. Connecting to the FPV goggles was easy. Very happy with this camera. I've ordered a few more for future builds. In terms of range,

Very powerful transmitter with an excellent camera

Simply great! The picture quality is good, even at night. The transmitter is very economical in power, especially when turned off to a minimum, but the transmission range is only a few blocks. The medium power setting is enough to extend the range to the size of my area. At maximum power, I was able to receive a clear transmission from a much greater distance than my quadcopter could pick up from my controller. I could watch my drone fly farther and farther after my joysticks lost control…

Pros
  • Quick change
Cons
  • For pensioners

Newbie received and ran

I bought this with the intention of installing it on an RC airplane and flying an FPV airplane. I used another 5.8GHz receiver (link below) and a suitable antenna (Right Circularly Polarized {RHCP}) to match the one soldered to the camera. I also used the breadboard connector cables to connect the power supply as I don't have the correct connector that came with the camera. Most likely I will cut and solder. There are many wires for this. The camera was able to output 40 channels as described…

  • Confident

  • Out of fashion

Amazing standalone devices

Small size; I can attach it to any of my remote control toys by simply sticking the velcro strip together with a 250mAh 3.7V battery (sold separately). The battery lasts about 20 minutes on medium settings. Channel, band and power adjustment is done by long pressing for 2s (band) or 5s (power). Speaking of power; Make sure you have a HAM license (technically enough) to broadcast over the air. The default setting was max power so be aware, don't connect the battery unless you have a license. So…
