This shoe stands out in my collection because it combines a familiar feature (monkey strap) with a structured design I've never seen before. As for this basic texture, I've seen it before on small areas of classic shoes, but not on all shoes minus the area covered by the monk's strap. What I find interesting about this approach to design is that the basic design looks like leather straps sewn together like a basket. I give 5 stars because of the quality of the leather (outer and lining), the sole and the stitching/taping finish. Unless you're a flamboyant disco type and pairing this with purple bell-bottoms and a pink fluffy top, I don't see it going well with too many modern paraphernalia (at least not in 2021 in North America). But that is subjective taste and to each his own.

Pointed shoe at an affordable price. The outsole is rubber and glued (with weird faux stitching to mimic a sewn-on sole) and the leather is colored lacquered to give a patina. Men seem to have very few pairs of shoes and they all look the same. However, this pair of classic shoes has a unique and interesting design. The textured look created by stitching but convincingly reminiscent of braided leather paired with a monk strap is an interesting and eye-catching design. The shoes are comfortable (according to my husband) and fit exactly as we expected based on the size. The quality of the shoes is really good and I think they are worth the price.
