Good dense foam, holds its shape well but offers good impact protection. It was easy for a three year old to hold on. It had a black uniform to keep its shape during transport; I thought the tablet would fit the form and that there are no cutouts for ports and a speaker as another reviewer said, but we pulled the plastic piece out and the tablet immediately stood up. Would buy again.

Rate this device 3.5 stars because it deserves more than 3 but 3.5 is impossible. It has no matching cutouts for the Fire HD 8 Kids Tablet. There are no cutouts for the speakers, so the sound is muffled. Not overly muted, but muted nonetheless.

Our 4 year old loved this blanket. It's really easy. I think it's lighter than any other case we have on other tablets. The handle is perfect for carrying. Easy to use and hold. However, there were no instructions on how to insert the tablet into the case. After the failure, I called a friend - and even though her tablet is different from my Kindle Fire, she told me to bend the case. Finally get dressed.

I'm glad I chose this case. It fits my daughter's Amazon tablet like a glove. We've already dropped it down the stairs outside and there's no sign of damage to the case or tablet. The tones come out perfectly. There is no muffled sound.

This is NOT for Baby Fire HD 8. The camera and button holes are on the wrong side and the screen holder isn't big enough. Terrible.

I bought this as a gift for my daughter for Christmas and it's great! More importantly, it's durable (we've already dropped it a few times) and the stands are great for hands-free viewing. I love that you can place it upright on a stand or lay it flat like a keyboard. The handle is also very convenient for getting in and out of the car. If anything happens to it, I will buy it again!
