I think this replacement paint works very well as it is not a well known brand. We bought a Brother printer/copier/scanner to replace our HP Office Jet. I've only printed a few black and white pages with these cartridges so far, so I can't make any statements about durability or color inks. They get 4 stars because initially the setup was a problem and the black ink is a bit lighter than the brand ink. When installing, the hose to which the printheads are connected is covered with a transparent film, and the instructions say nothing about it. I didn't realize that the printheads would have to puncture this foil and therefore there would be…

Second time bought this replacement ink from this company. It comes with very good instructions that make it easier to change the cartridges. The printer accepted the cartridges without having to reboot the system as is the case with other replacement products. The black ink cartridge is larger and the printer uses this color much more often. I would suggest they only offer black cartridges or add more black cartridges to the kit. Would recommend this product for Brother MFC-J491DW.

Didn't work at all with my printer. I usually give a good review, but in this case I bought it because the lot and model number supposedly matched. Nothing good! Threw everything out at once. $25 down the drain I found out you only have to order the "Brothers" brands.

I've only had this ink for a few weeks but so far I'm very happy with the quality and price. One thing I would like to point out is that the small clear plastic (or cellophane) cover of the ink port on the cartridge is quite thick. This cellophane coating is supposed to puncture automatically when the cartridge is inserted into the printer, but after several attempts to force the cartridge into the printer, the cartridge does not "seat" properly. Since I bought my Brother printer I have tried 5 different brands of compatible ink and found this brand to work consistently with minimal issues. Other brands I've tried have often had problems with clogged printheads. After 5 orders of this brand, so far they have avoided this serious problem.

I bought more for the price than anything else. The print quality is ok for documents, but not for pictures. They advertised that the printer would recognize the chip on the cartridge, but it didn't. Next time I need to replace them I will go back to genuine Brother cartridges, it's more expensive but you get what you pay for.
