I wanted a bonnet for when I'm too lazy to braid my afro hair after twisting or unbraiding it. My only complaint, even though it's a double coat, when I apply oils to my hair the oils bleed from the cap to the outer layer so there are now oil stains on it. My goodness. But that doesn't really matter because at least my pillowcases haven't been damaged...yet.

It's like a double layer of satin and so comfortable! I bought it in burgundy and white. My daughter is now trying to steal mine even though she has other sleepyheads. So I just ordered her the blue one with feathers so she can leave mine alone! I strongly recommend that you try it. Maybe you like it too!

Great bonnet 2nd purchase from this brand. Beautiful and only wants what I need. The headband of the hood is elastic but reliable. I'm a wild dream and it stays on all night. At the moment I have shoulder-length crocheted hair, there is enough space in the hat for all hair.

Was very big which I liked because my hair was braided. However, when I put things like coconut oil on my hair, the hat color also stains my pillowcase/duvet. kinda annoying. Otherwise, I like that the inside is silky and doesn't damage or break the hair. Just make sure you wash it before use to remove some of the dyes so they don't stain your linens.

This satin hood is everything. Before that I only had one which I thought was a double faced satin but it wasn't. This hat is made of double faced satin. It stays on while I sleep (I move around a lot) and it's pretty roomy. I have short hair but wanted some room once it grew out. I have green. I opened it and put it on my hair to fall asleep. I didn't get up until an hour later to find the color of the hat CRAZY mixed into my white pillows. Wash it first! Ugh I hope that color comes from the pillowcase but it's quite dark. I apply a small amount of oil to the ends of the hair and put a cap on. Plus it's really handy... but there's no dye transfer warning or instructions saying you have to wash it first.

I bought two different hats from Amazon and both were smooth on the outside and rough on the inside. This is smooth on both sides. Another issue I've had with others is they wouldn't stay on my head when I slept, this one stands up but isn't too tight. I like to wear a hat behind my ears and I think I should mention that this hat is not for you if you like wearing it in front of your ears. I got it in white because some of the reviews said it bleeds and it's not a problem for me.
