Type is well suited for motorcycles and power sports

It ran on several bearings. The 17mm was a little small for the stock and the 20mm was a little too big. There is no other size between them. It worked, but I had to deal with it.

Pros
  • Comfortable to use
Cons
  • Volume

This China branded bearing puller is heavy duty and well made.

This Chinese brand bearing puller is heavy and well made. Too bad China can import steel from the US, make the tool, ship it back to the US and sell it cheaper than the US manufacturer.

Pros
  • One year trial period
Cons

Easy removal of needle bearing thrust from swingarm

Just removed two needle bearings (28x37x30) from the Yamaha swingarm using the slide hammer from the kit and a 25mm removal tool. The camps gave up almost immediately. Also, the Collector's gripping teeth appeared to be reasonably intact after being hit with a hammer. I'm very pleased and predict that traditional ball bearings (of much smaller width) could be removed in about two or three strokes with a tool.

  • Nice package

Home Shop Only

I'm a mechanic at a Harley dealership. The poor condition of the tools in our shop forced me to buy my own bearing puller. After pulling out a few dozen bearings, this tool is worn out and useless. The jacking screw is too small, not suitable for the work required. I replaced the bolt and nut several times but they seized and became unusable. This puller may only be for the hobbyist, but I wouldn't recommend it for heavy, repeated use.

The range of sizes offers great flexibility.

I originally purchased the Motion Pro version of this blind bearing removal kit but it did not allow for size adjustments for different bearing diameters. Basically, Motion Pro's instructions say that 20mm can ONLY be used for 20mm ID etc. So it didn't work for my 22mm front wheel bearing and Motion Pro doesn't sell a 22mm blind bearing removal tool. However, ALPHAMOTO allows a range of sizes for each tool. That way I could use a 20-24mm tool to push out the 22mm bearings in my wheel. It tookโ€ฆ

Money well spent on tool kits

Drivers to create, no exhibits. My hobby is to buy unloved and used bikes and get them in a safe and reliable condition, after that I ride them for a while until I sell them for seed capital for the next project. It's usually always profitable for me to save a few pennies and wait until you can buy better quality tools. After spending the extra money, I chose this set as the sweet spot between bargain priced and insanely expensive based on reviews of its durability. So far I've gotten more than
