Saved me from breaking my collarbone

Used for DH mountain biking. Take a huge, hard hit on the wind rock while jumping. If it hadn't been for that I would have had a broken collarbone and broken ribs for sure. Landed right on my right shoulder and side. It's fairly comfortable given the protection, the only complaint is that it rises a bit when you're tall.

Worth the money

Use it on a DH mountain bike. Crashed badly while jumping over a chasm. Broke his collarbone and shoulder blade. There were rocks and my whole jersey was torn down the back. If I hadn't had it I sure would have gotten a stone or two in my spine. It's comfortable and I wear it under a tank top with no shoulder pads. bottom line. I'm glad I paid a little more for this than a cheap chest protector.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Not automatic

This armor looks top notch

Haven't ridden it yet but I've tried it on and it seems top notch. Lots of ventilation, that's what I was looking for. but the defense still seems very good. I'm 5ft 10in / 175lbs and Md/Lg fit great. I love how I can remove the shoulder pads if I want to to make bi-sport travel easier but still have the option to just put them back on when we meet. This is for enduro.

Better than cheaper alternatives

Last week I was riding my Yamaha Raptor 700 in the rain and feeling fearless when it rolled over on a corner. I fell off the bike and landed on the side. I'm 52 so big falls can be a problem. As far as I can tell I haven't broken anything but I'm still in pain after about 5 days. Anyway, my son used this chest and back protector and although it's expensive I ordered one. it just arrived and i tried it on. it actually covered the area I had fallen on. If I had worn that, I would not have been…

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Operating speed
