I tried a 3 in 1 plant meter (light, moisture, ph) from a large store and couldn't tell the difference in the lighting on my plants. This aplhy gauge gave me more realistic readings for my dimly lit areas. Very easy to use and helped me find the optimal light for my more delicate plants. Worth a little more money.

I bought this because I had a spare Drometer. I also ordered Dr Meter One. Since I got it first, I used it first. As soon as the dr meter arrived I compared them and they were only a few lux apart. I prefer rubble on this one and it's easier for me to use it. I will keep both as I need a separate sensor in some situations but for the most part I use this to set up my studio.

Few days after ordering I received the alpthy light meter. The packaging is nice and compact which means there isn't much air in the box. The meter comes with a soft case. I was able to borrow a professional measuring device and used 2 for comparison.
