Great fit and good hold. My son hates lacrosse boots and shoes so we bought him these (he is young) and they have enough grip to play on turf and grass. Also very comfortable. I have been running Altras for many years and am happy to find a pair that suits him.

We love Altra hiking shoes. Now both children have their own and look forward to our trips. The grip is also fantastic in the mud.

They fit my daughter perfectly. By far the most comfortable shoes. She is 8 years old and uses them for running, hiking and playing on the sidewalk.

These shoes were worth their money! My son wears shoes at an alarming rate and so far these shoes have held up phenomenally. They are also SUPER FAST.

I really like these shoes but they are definitely more minimalistic. It's not just a cheaper adult version of Single Peaks. They are slightly narrower and the sole is much thinner. I personally don't like the thick, soft soles of the Altra adult shoes and was very happy to find them with more flexibility and less cushioning. But with a thinner sole, you can expect to feel the ground, especially when walking on coarse gravel. Pros: Light and flexible. They get wet too, but don't usually get wet.

This is my son's third pair, they are very comfortable and hold up well to the abuse he puts them through. The insole is very thin and if the shoes get wet it will fall out while wearing. I put the insoles on before letting him wear the shoes and he had no problems.

These are great shoes. I have a hard time finding quality shoes in my size. Most children's shoes are garbage. These shoes are also nice and wide. I have a slightly wide foot which was a nice bonus.

These are great shoes. They seem to be holding up well to the rough wear and tear. Also I don't have any problems with the insoles like in other reviews. Everything seems great.

Fits great. Looks good. A lightweight. Flexible. Non-slip. Too bad they're still made in the USA because if they were maybe her little brother would wear them too when she outgrew them. My daughter loves her. A bit pricey but not everyone these days thanks to China Joe.

Great fit but very flat with no cushioning. It's like walking barefoot with a good grip on the sole. Very light, roomy sock. If you are looking for minimalist shoes, these are the ones for you. If you need extra support and cushioning, look elsewhere.

My husband and I have worn Altras for years and loved it so much we returned the kids shoes now that our son is no longer a small size. He LOVES these shoes. We do a lot of hiking and mountain biking and this shoe is perfect for both. They're durable and he says they fit his feet well. It has excellent grip on steep terrain.

My son is 11 years old and has smaller feet for his age but has a high instep and slightly wider foot than normal shoes allow. He loves his Altras. We bought him a pair of Kokiri 4 months ago and now we bought him a pair of Lone Peaks. While they're both very comfortable, he finds his Lone Peak pair better.
