Extremely comfortable and durable

Extremely comfortable and durable, love to hike in it. The wide toe box is a lifesaver for people with wide forefoot and arched feet like me.

Pros
  • Availability
Cons
  • Interchangeable

For those of us with bunions

For those of us with bursitis this shoe is just perfect. This is my third pair of alts. The sock box does not make the shoes uncomfortable, and the shoes can easily accommodate orthopedic shoes. This is my lifeline for an active outdoor life.

Pros
  • Worth the money
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for seniors

I sent these shoes back. Seriously, this model was really bad.

Terrible fit, poor design. Not what I'm used to from Altra. Plus too expensive and no hooks for the gate. The tongue was so long and soft it cut into my leg. I've given away a used Altra for years. Not above!

Pros
  • practical item
Cons
  • older model

The perfect shoe for the trail!

This shoe fits perfectly right away. Went to the Smoky Mountains and got these shoes last minute. Super light, no blisters, no interruption of my period, SUPER HAPPY I GOT IT! 24 miles in 3 days and wear them right out of the box!

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Appearance

Waterproof coating has torn along the crease

LOVE the fit and comfort, but paying $170 for a pair of waterproof shoes and tearing both shoes after just a few months of use is just not normal. The salt is still in great shape. I have another pair of Altras that are not waterproof but still work well after many months of use. I live in the Pacific Northwest and need good waterproof shoes.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • For seniors
